Procarent is currently seeking a Director of Patient Accounting

Job Summary: Directs the activities of the Patient Accounting Department to include planning, developing and implementing programs, policies and procedures consistent with medical, administrative, ethical and legal requirements for health care billing, including responsibilities for the accounts receivable function, as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies including addressing complaints, resolving problems, building team morale, and keeping team members on tract and motivated
Confers with management in the identification of problems, the development of policies and procedures, and the formulation of workload production standards; coordinates billing and collections work with that of other divisions
Strategic planning, delegation and supervision of work
Develops, evaluates, implements, and revises polices and procedures related to billing, quality and reimbursement activities
Review work flow procedures, identify areas for improvement, and implement new procedures to maximize efficiency
Develops and monitors production metrics including individual measures and overall billing efficiency including daily workload
Ensure complete and appropriate financial analysis of billing, denial and collection activity measures
Reviews, monitors, and evaluates third party reimbursement compliance. Keeps abreast of all reimbursement billing procedures of third party and private insurance payers and government regulations
Work in conjunction with Director of Compliance to ensure all Federal, State and local laws, regulations and best practices are being followed
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in business field
At least five years of Medical and/or healthcare financial compliance experience required
At least seven years of management experience required
Moderate to Intermediate Excel skills required
Must be a self-starter who can work independently, set individual and team goals and work effectively towards their achievement
Demonstrated knowledge of data processing (systems) needs, registration, billing and financial services procedures is required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills required to deal with all levels of the organizations, and external entities.
