CARE Ambulance is currently seeking a Dispatch Manager

Job Summary: The Dispatch Manager is responsible for directing the daily operations of the Ambulance Dispatch Department ensuring operational efficiency and on time performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage daily dispatch operations
• Manage on-time performance of ambulance runs
• Assure department is delivering high level of customer service and handle complaints
• Manage communications equipment and PCs
• Perform random telephone audit review
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll edits and associated paperwork
• Prepare bi-weekly schedule for employees
• Record attendance points for street crews and dispatch
• Handle employee discipline within department
• Interview potential dispatch candidates
• Assist in operations as needed
• Perform duties of EMT as needed

Qualification Requirements:

• Associates Degree
• IT knowledge / background / experience preferred
• EMT certification helpful
• 1 year+ experience in EMS field
• 2 years + in supervisory role
• Certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) helpful
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to make decisions quickly
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality
• Strong customer service skills
