CARE Ambulance is currently seeking an Ambulance Dispatcher

Job Summary:
Receives emergency and non-emergency requests for ambulance service from public and private parties and transmits orders to suitable response units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Dispatch EMTs and Paramedics to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
Notify garage in the event of broken vehicles
Relay work orders, messages, and information to and from work crews.
Scheduling of ambulance runs (emergent and non-emergent).
Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules.
Enter information and time/date stamp into electronic dispatching system
Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
Advise personnel about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards.
Support timely and efficient movement of ambulances according to orders and schedules.
Qualification Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Customer service skills
Medical background a plus
